Last week marked the completion of a £16m restoration and re-presentation of Hillsborough Castle and Gardens by Historic Royal Palaces.
For the past 3 years, ALL Creative has been working closely with teams from Public Engagement, Creative Programming and Interpretation and Marketing to conceive, design and coordinate a brand new estate-wide visitor welcome and interpretation scheme.
The new scheme invites visitors to discover the rich inside stories of a royal house and political residence through dramatic feature wall displays, inspiring outdoor 3D interventions and spaces, a new timeline gallery, family trails, a 30 metre-long display and large-format digital screen-based presentations.
All points of the visitor journey are supported by an integrated welcome and wayfinding sign scheme which covers the new build car park, visitor welcome spaces and facilities, gardens, fort and court house. This is combined with a specially created estate map featured across visitor orientation signs and a new explorer guide.
ALL Creative was appointed after a competitive tender and on the strength of similar projects successfully delivered for Historic Royal Palaces.
